The Accelerated Learning Program is a six-month initiative for out-of-school children and youth aged 8 to 25, providing comprehensive education, life skills, and vocational training.
Children and youth aged 8 to 25 who haven't completed traditional schooling are eligible. The program focuses on inclusivity, prioritizing marginalized and disadvantaged groups.
The curriculum covers Literacy and Numeracy, Science, Social Studies, Life Skills, and Vocational Training, including Technical Skills and Business Skills.
The program runs in three phases over six months:
• Phase 1: Assessment and orientation (Month 1)
• Phase 2: Intensive learning (Months 2-5)
• Phase 3: Review and preparation (Month 6)
The program offers training in Technical Skills and Business Skills, preparing students for employment or entrepreneurship.
Success is measured through improvements in academic skills, graduation rates, and transitions to further education or employment. Testimonials are also collected to gauge impact.
The program is currently offered in the Deh Sabz district, with plans to expand to more areas.
